The formation one of our water company wells is drilled into shifted due to the Dec 2003 San Simeon earthquake. The formation seems to hold about the same volume of water. However, it doesn't recharge from the other surrounding formations near as fast, only about 6" a week.

However, when we get the soil saturated and the right winter storms in the right order, it fills up fast. One week last winter, it came up  over 30 feet.
