How to change settings on stand?
« on: July 17, 2007, 06:50:14 PM »
I received the Vantage Pro2 today.  I have the iss mounted and have to run the cable to the console.

I opened the back stand to the 1st notch. I want to try other settings.  How in the heck do I get it to another setting?  Looks like there is a pin on
each side that snaps in.  I do not want to pry on anything.    Thanks

I've always cringed at the thought of re-adjusting mine.  Just about when you think it's going to break it'll slip to the next notch.

It's even worse when closing it. Every time I move that thing I think I'm going to break it. It doesn't though so in this case, I have to give some advice that makes me cringe to say. Go ahead and force it.

Bert,
We should also have stated to take our advice at your own risk.

Congratulations on your new weather station. I'm sure you will be happy with your Davis. Just keep forcing it until it goes to the next notch like the rest have said. It may seem awkward but that's how it is.

OK I gritted my teeth, shut my eyes and gave it a push.  To my surprise, it slipped to other settings fairly easy.  I did not want to brake it on the 1st day.  Since last message, I finished the wiring and did the setup.  Went pretty good.  Sure is nice to have a product manual like Davis has.  I am expecting the software tomorrow.  Thanks a lot.
