IpTimelapse
« on: June 15, 2019, 07:04:41 AM »
Good Morning All:
A quick question. I have been using IpTimelapse software for a number of years. I always used am API key to read my weather station (and another here on Kent Island). Somewhere, somehow something changed. I can no longer read personal weather station info with the newly supplied API key. I can only read airport data and a few other "commercial" stations such as the Annapolis Naval Academy that do not require a key. Am I missing something new with Wunderground? Also, my cams quit showing up on the weather map but that is a "whole nuther can of worms".

Thanks

I believe it is that IPT has not been updated to accommodate the new WU API key.  I do not know if there are plans to update IPT to change this.

A better and easier way to get you weather station data into IPTL is via a text file. If you'll review the discussion here http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=36260.msg372810#msg372810, you'll see my instructions for setting up both IPTL and Cumulus.

So I bit the bullet and moved IPTimelapse to my weather computer so I could use the weather overlay technique that Steve suggested.

After figuring out how to configure Weather Display to create the text file, easy.  As Steve stated, this configuration eliminates having to fetch your own data back from another service.

Here is where the images are displayed. https://www.lakehuronweather.org/wxWebCam.php

Thanks again Steve for the suggestion.
