Acurite 5-in-1 installation question
« on: December 28, 2018, 10:28:44 AM »
Was wanting to buy a j-pole mount on the side of my house to mount it on the wall and the j-pole extends out around the roof hangs over and extend it 20-30" above roof line. Most J-pole mounts are only 20" in length. I am clueless as to what size mount to buy--what size pole does the plastic adapter fit over? Can I buy an extension to put on a j-pole?
Can someone post an actual link to somewhere I can buy it or tell me what to ask for at my local big-box hardware store? I can't do a vertical pole into the ground where I am at, so just hoping for an easy mount on the side of my house. Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

The standard for most people is a 3/4" (interior) pole. You can usually buy the parts at your local big box store. Look for galvanized piping. Normally there are different lengths, though you may opt to buy a longer one and cut it down to fir your needs.
