Topic: WeatherLink Start up unable to load module WuiWlink_1.dll

After I did a clean re-install of Windows 10 and then WeatherLink 6.0.3. I get the "Subject" message in the view log under File of WeatherLink. I added the expansion module before the crash and it worked very well. It is the module that allows me to report data to Weather Underground.
I've uninstalled and re-installed WeatherLink, but so far nothing helps. Please help me.

Did u ever get this figured out? I just got a vantage vue and the data logger. The module shows in there and checked enabled. When I check the logs it says same thing. Unable to load. Using an hp laptop w windows 10. I'm so lost.

I found that I did not do the installation precisely as described. Following by the letter helped. Next time round it lost my station number and password. After adding that I was back on track..  
Where it says copy this program to that folder, do it exactly what the instruction says and Whalla.

I have been trying for many hours over the week. Then I tried Internet Explorer insteam of chrome and it now works fine. Uhg. Frustrating that's all that was. Oh well. Fun to check the weather. Thanks for response.

This is the part that is very important. To safe the module in the correct folder:
 TO INSTALL THE MODULE
1) First install WeatherLink 5.5.1 (or later) or upgrade an earlier version.

If you do not already have WeatherLink version 5.5.1, you can upgrade from versions 5.0 - 5.4, goto: Davis Software Support

2) Download the expansion module here. Save the WuiWlink_1.dll file to your Weather Link Expansion Modules directory:
The Expansion Modules directory is usually in "C:\WeatherLink\Expansion_Modules".
That is... the file needs to go into a directory named "Expansion_Modules" within the Weather Link installation directory. You may have create the "Expansion_Modules" directory if it isn't already there.

3) Quit and restart (or start) the WeatherLink application.
4) Goto the "File" menu and select "Manage Modules".
5) Click the "Add Module" button. Find and select the WuiWlink_1.dll file.
6) Click "okay" several times until all of the dialog windows close.
7) Restart WeatherLink.

No clue, just know it only works with Internet explorer, for me at least. Lol. Now updating seamlessly.  Simple fix I should have tried earlier on.

Basic problem is that DRIVERS IN W10 FOR  Davis datalogger USB to Serial adapter only work the ones weaterlink install. But W10 try fast to actualize and instal new ones that not work.

THE SOLUTION IS DOWNLOAD AND INSTAL ORIGINAL WINDOWS TROUBLESHOOTER PACKAGE "SHOW OR HIDE UPDATES"

Nest steeps depend if W10 block your drivers (you will downgrade drivers) or you start to instal weaterlink (you block updates for weaterlink  USB adapter...)
