Off topic here but I think if we send you data that there should be credit back. A link to our websites is fine? If you link back to where the data is coming from more people would send to you.

That is a good suggestion and one I can submit. Our teams are working on a new PWS registration form. So basically what you'd like to see is a place where you can put in a URL to your website (like the way WU does) so people that view your weather data page at WeatherBug.com can click on it and go to your website?

Yes and I think alot more people would be interested in Weather Bug. WU  used to have a link but don't anymore and a bunch of people dropped them. Think about it. What's the point with no credit back?

Hopefully others on this forum will voice their opinion too.  :-)

Sounds good. I'll send that feedback in so we can look at how to implement it while we rollout the new WeatherBug.com and the new PWS system.

Retrieving data from different Universities Mesonets (i.e Oklahoma Mesonet, WeatherSTEM, etc.) and retrieving data from Stratus Station would not be a bad idea. They use Davis VP2 along with a camera.

Sounds good. I can definitely put in the request and see how it goes. For Stratus Station, are those the cameras James Spann uses?

Yes. Stratus Station is what James Spann uses. I will note that the barometric pressure from those stations are not calibrated correctly to Sea Level. Don't think they spend time in calibrating it.

Sounds good. We have a QC system in place, so we can hide any data that doesn't match up.

Hey Nathan,

Here are some links in the footnotes of the Wikipedia page that links to different Universities and Colleges Mesonet sites. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_station

Maybe WB can use their data.

It would definitely be cool to view the data from extra sensors such as: soil moisture, soil temp, extra temperature stations, etc. on WB and WB apps.

RAWS and other NWS mesonets (not your typical weather stations but are mini stations that they use) can help fill in the gaps.

One example is in Clanton, AL

Sounds good. I can pass all go this on. We've gotten some more feedback about extra sensor data such as soil moisture, etc. We are trying to evaluate the best way we can use this data. We'll probably do more with UV/Solar data from PWS in WeatherBug Home.
