Starting a new station
« on: November 22, 2013, 10:43:37 AM »
hi    I have had a davis pro 2 station going since 2010  the computer it was on has died and as of now I can't get it to run.  if I were to start a new station on a different computer right now, can I later import all my old data from my original station into the new one I would start? can I start the station on the different computer using the same name as the original computer?    thanks for any info you might have

It depends.  Is the hard drive on the dead computer still functioning?

If you're asking can you import the data from the data logger on the console to the new computer, then yes, but it will only contain some of the historical data depending on how often you are capturing the info in the data logger.  If you're asking can you import the data from the old (dead) computer then yes, as long as you can still access the data on the old hard drive.
