Topic: Vantage Vue barometer flatline

I purchase a vantage vue earlier this year to get rid of the PITA VP2 console and the barometer headaches that go with it. This is the second time my vue barometer has flatlined, is this normal? Is this what we now have to put up with from davis? Granted I can get it to reset and work by unplugging it and removing the batteries but dang sometimes I don't notice it and it kinda pisses me off. Any suggestions.

Didn't know the VP2 had "pressure headaches". Nonetheless, what do you mean flatlined? Are you going merely by what you see on WU?

Yes, same reading and this will go on until I reset it.

 Thought you bought a Vue console for the altimeter. This person lives in Colorado I can only imagine how bad the VP2 SLP is.

No not normal at all. No issue at all with the Vue console pressure.
Are you using the  ALT SETTING (Altimeter Setting)?

Absolutely did! Granted, I'm only at 2640' MSL compared to him, but I found the VP2 console is very useable at mimicking the altimeter when not at extremes.

Did you get the latest firmware update on it?
There was something about barometric pressure fix. Being 80543' could have something to do with it.

Called Davis what a joke didn't have any concern about the real problem just told me to try a different way of getting it to go back to normal readings.

Well, my vue console just did it again. It seems that 30.14in is the sticking point. I had readings of 30.16-17 and when it started falling it stops at 30.14. Going to call davis again and tell them I want it fixed or replaced.
