Topic: PWS Picture on Weather Underground

Does anyone know how to upload a picture of your PWS so it shows up on Weather Underground?

Sadly, I don't think you will be able to do this anymore. WU disabled all Photo uploading capability to their site back in February. See this link for more info...

I don't think it would hurt to contact support to see if they will at least allow you to set a PWS photo. Don't expect an immediate response from them. It may take a few days or even a week+ before you hear back.

That's too bad! I thought that was a cool feature. It was always interesting to see what people were running for PWS hardware.

I couldn't agree with you more! It was always neat to see other setups to get ideas about station mounting solutions.

Is that an official response from WU ? A website that has connections with IBM. A "nope" response ....... wow !!!
That is a "level of professionalism" that I would not expect even from an eBay seller.

Seriously?  Careful .... folks will start treating you like they do me when I even suggest such a thing,....

...er... we did manage to reclaim a lot of their weather radio feeds they orphaned... wise up folks.
Couple of us anticipated this crap a few years ago, but nobody believed us...

And in the final analysis, with the WunderWeenies commercialization, it's time for the PWS community to reclaim itself... and it won't happen through WU or any other money-grabber. There'll be more 'disappointments' ahead...

Btw... all XML feeds still down as well as several other features, making not just Meteotemplate but any script using WU non-functional.

I also like how they communicate with the users. All comments on their FB page were removed in bulk...
