Central Maine Weather:
I was wondering if anybody has purchased this newer version of the Ambient Cam, and if so, how you like it (or not). I am considering getting one as I am looking for a webcam that I can associate with my weather station without the need to run my computer 24/7. I currently have a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema 720p HD webcam which works great for my needs other than the fact that I need to have my computer on all the time.

Or do you think I'd have a better quality webcam if I went with something like this?

Ambient cam looks like a rebranded Foscam FI9800P (at $80) and about twice the price :o just bear in mind that its not n, its only b,g wifi  capable.

Your other camera link is n capable, faster wifi and can be further away.

Good points. Thanks for the tips. The price definitely seemed a bit steep to me for sure!

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but it is a bummer some people have bought these cameras when I'm 99% sure they are just a rebranded and higher priced Foscam. Plus it states it is only 1MP?? Everything now days should be 3MP and up....
