communication interrupted message on VPLive
« on: August 16, 2013, 06:17:17 AM »
I have a Vantage Pro 2, with the WeatherLink USB Data Logger ..WeatherLink uses Com Port 11 and Baud 19200 to talk to the VP2...VWS can see the VP2 fine using same comport, but I was unable to get the CWOP/APRS to work on it. Weatherunderground is working as well. I downloaded VWSAPRS utility, set it up, And I can see the packet on the setup screen, but nothing ever gets to the APRS/CWOp Website. SO ,, thought I would try VPLive...Go thru setup, and it continually tells me "communication interrupted, will restart in 10 secs" then changes to 20 secs,30 secs and on up to HOurs..Not sure what I have wrong.. Maybe I am confused about the "direct connection to data logger" that I see for VWS and VPlive.. Can someone explain this to me?

Two software programs can not use the same com port at the same time.

Depending on the firmware version of your VP  You may be able to use Virtual VP to run the two programs at he same time.
