FosCam and Heat.
« on: July 06, 2012, 01:11:18 PM »
I thought sure it would fail by now under the 100+ heat we've had for the least couple of weeks, but so far, it's still alive.

Home brew dome consists of a dome and base intended for a remote control spotlight from Federal Signal.  It does have a small 5V fan inside, but I'm sure that's not making a lot of difference in this kind of heat.  The whole thing is inverted (so I can look straight down into the yard) and mounted to the mast with a piece of 1/2 conduit.

Not a great picture and I had to 'flip' it digitally to simulate the mounting orientation, but you get the idea.
