webcamXP & Web Server - Questions
« on: July 11, 2011, 04:26:21 PM »
Hello everyone! How are you ?  I just purchase the Full Version of webcamXP, and i have some basic questions about the Web Server side of the program. As i was see a lot of members here in the forum use this program. As you know webcamXP lets you to make your computer a server, and after that with e.g. with DynDNS to make the stream accessible to the people. But i have serious problems with the bandwidth part. When i have for example 10 visitors to my stream, then the Internet is going very very slow and i have problems with other programs such as WeatherLink. So, is there anyway to use a paid Web Server to stream the image ? Because in the Web Broadcast Tab it has an option to enter the IP/ Hostname of the server.

Thank you very much.

You can do it for free with Camstreams.com. You stream to Camstreams and in turn, they re-stream it. That way it doesn't eat up your bandwidth.

I'm sure there are other services out there too...
