Birds love my solar sensor

Since adding the Davis solar sensor and mounting bar the birds think I did it especially for them. :-x
Problem is dirty little feet leaving dirt and mud on sensor.
 
I'm tried yellow wire ties as spikes with little success so decided today I'd try something different. Added a bird perch nearby with 1" pvc.

If it works I'll report back.

Put your Davis rain bucket with the bird spikes back on?
