Thats exactly the problem, the algorithm they use is completely flawed.

Thus my point.  No need to obsess over it.  We have no control over bad data being sent aside from our own stations.

I haven't for long time sent my data to others than WU, and thats only because many wx-softwares supports "import the data from WU" so its a "good" external backup. Last used a few days ago when tested to import 9 years of data to WeeWX from Davis wlk-files and there was a little gap.

Earlier i sended also to Awekas and CWOP but i have dumped them both.

Exactly!  Enjoy your station and the rest that life has to offer....

Newbie here. I guess I should be concerned about my WU station and it's data?

Wow An OLD thread.
I think what ALL weather organizations miss, is TRENDS.  So what if your temperature and wind speed, Pressure/Humidity sensors are off a bit.
It is the trend they need to look at.  When pressure/Temp suddenly make a change (up or down) OH... the front has arrived at that station.  I had someone Email me asking why my wind speed was often way different than a station 5 miles away, it took over 10 emails to convince him that you could line up 10 anemometers 10 feet apart and all 10 would read different.
I think NOAA really misses out for not counting our data more.
Don't like my weather

COMMENT - When the 'new' MesoWest QC program began "flagging" our KTUS weather data as "bad" you KNOW their algorithm is flaky.

I contacted them about it, but never heard anything back. Hence, IMHO, MesoWest QC is little better than MADIS or CWOP QC.

Concur. Not only, the gene pool is much smaller with Meso and the overall data quality of PWS's posting there is certainly better when compared to the gazillion of WU stations.
