Topic: Baro data not showing up

I joined the CWOP today.  Set up downloading without any problem, but when I looked at the data I noticed barometer was missing.  The download log showed it being sent in plain text, after the APRS packet:  see here -

   Can you send a direct link to your CWOP page? I tried searching your callsign EW6579 for the UK but could not find it anywhere. Maybe I'm just missing it?

   It looks like your station data on your CWOP page hasn't updated in a couple hours on top of the barometer issue. How are you uploading your data from your PC to CWOP? (What software are you running on your computer if this happens to be the upload method you are using)?

Searching the WLink help menu I discovered that VP2  won't send barometer data to APRS/CWOP.  Strange thing is, it tacks the value, as text, following the APRS packet.  I've asked Davis about it but I'm not holding my breath.  Maybe time to change software.  Any recommendations, anyone?

That is odd. I use my Davis Vantage Pro2 station and I have it connected to my computer using the Weatherlink USB data logger. I then use Virtual Weather Station software V 14.01 (found here http://www.ambientweather.com/viwestinedem.html  and it comes with a 30-day free trial) to upload to weather underground and then also to CWOP (for the CWOP upload you have to download and enable the VWS APRS ad-on found here http://www.ambientweather.com/vwsaprs.html). Great directions for setting up your VWS APRS ad-on after you download it can be followed here http://www.srh.noaa.gov/images/epz/mesonet/CWOP-VWS.pdf.

There are many other options for software use to upload to WU and CWOP which others use, but this is the method I use and it seems to work great with no problems.

Have a look at Weather Display too because it will also do what you need.

What's the upgrade history for your station? There were issues with a certain version upgrade path that caused a 0 barometer. I think it was around v1.82, but it's been a while. Don't know if that's related without more details on the station history and console mfg code.
