CWOP Snow
« on: February 02, 2016, 05:00:10 PM »
I am sure that this has been around a while, and I just finally discovered it. #-o
Is there any benefit for a CoCoRaHS contributor to submit a report here as well?
It says to add CoCoRaHS to the comment field if you are a CCR contributor.
I would think that NOAA pulls in the CoCoRaHS data and this would be redundant.
Anyone doing this? Anyone who is also a CoCoRaHSian?

I understood that the CoCoRaHS submission is automatically forwarded as I had not done anything specific with CWOP on this but my CoCoRaHS data does show as I found a few months ago.  http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/interactive/html/graph.html?station=D3930_MADIS&w=600&h=400&o=a&uc=0&by=2016&bm=1&bd=29&bh=6&ey=2016&em=2&ed=5&eh=6&data=0&units=1&region=us

On step 3 of the link that Greg listed above it says to let them know if you already contribute to the snow data via CoCoRAHS so they can eliminate duplicate data. That tells me that signing-up on CWOP for their snow program, would mean you would be duplicating your efforts. I would think they should have simply said that if you already contribute via CoCoRAHS, to not sign-up for the CWOP snow data feed.
