WS-2902 is up and running
« on: January 04, 2018, 12:25:24 AM »
got a tire, filled with cement, put pipe in the middle and for a few years i used it to keep my firewood stacked and under control....burning firewood is almost impossible now so i RECYCLED the post for my Ambien WS-2902.  Painted the pipe lined up the post with northerly direction and bababoooooom.....done , looks nice...pipe is about 11 feet [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Can't argue with success. Nice repurpose of your materials. Wireless is making things easy nowadays.

Thank you! i agree. I didnt want to attach it to the fence or the roofline.  I put alkaline batteries in there....lets see how long they last.  I could bury it in the dirt to make it cosmetically more attractive...i am sure glad also that it is wireless....wished the batteries were rechargeable by the solar panel....that would be a nice bonus....dont know why they didnt.

Thanks a bunch HotSauce2007....i had ANOTHER one that was my first choice...the pole was aluminum (no maintenance) but the ID is too big and i didnt / could figure out how to remove/install bigger brackets attaching to the pole.  But I spray painted the one in the picture with rustoleum....its all good.
Cosmetically some might consider it fugly.  I could have buried the tire with only the top of the tire showing above the surface and i might still do that down the line.  The advantage to this system is that it is MOVABLE...a cart will do it with some work...dont like it there? just roll it around the corner....thanks guys.
