I would like to see the following records

- biggest temp change in 1 hour
- biggest temp change within 24 hours

- biggest pressure change within 12 hours
- biggest pressure change within 24 hours

What do you guys think?

ps. my cumulus (latest version) seems to "flatline" occasionally. It just stops recording data and recovers half an hour or an hour later. This results in annoying flat shelves in the graphs.

This might be a hardware fault with the WeatherLinkIP.  My mother-in-law's station does the same thing with VWS.

Thanks, I suppose it could be. But WeatherLink software does not get these flatlines.

I haven't tested it at length, but I believe Weather Display does not get the flatlines either.

Is it just the latest version of Cumulus giving you problems?  How long did you run the previous version?

It's the latest 1.9.1 (build 989) and a few betas before that. Before them I did not notice this, but did not run 1.9.0 for long.

Jari,

I'm running the same version myself and have not noticed this issue.

Have you tried the Sandaysoft forum http://sandaysoft.com/forum/index.php ?

I'm sure Steve, the software author, would be more than willing to help you determine if it's an issue with Cumulus. ;)

Thanks, maybe I should give that forum a try. Mine just flatlined today again. Exasperating.

By the way, the latest version 1.9.1 is very slow in downloading data from the console when I start it up. Anyone have the same problem? 1.9.0 was way faster. Also, while donwloading, the software window tends to act funny, the dl window refuses to go to the background even though I activate other software.

The occasional flatline bug still continues. Today something new happened.

I started Cumulus in the morning and it would not load the data from last night but left a huge flatline for the duration of the night. I replaced the data files from yesterdays backup and started Cumulus again. This time it loaded the night's data, but also for a while it said that the last hour saw the whole annual rainfall so far. Then I had to leave and now that I started Cumulus again, it no longer shows the annual rainfall in the morning but instead, 10mm has vanished from the real annual rainfall!!!

I am astonished. And apparently cursed, since the 5.9.3 update killed my WeatherLInk software. All I get is warnings and errors.

Pretty disappointed right now, honestly.  :-(

Jari,

Have you had a chance to ask Steve about your issue?

It could be a bug that needs fixing or maybe something unique to your setup.

If you haven't already I would let him know about it.

Thanks for suggestion. I guess I should register to that forum. Maybe he can comment on it. I'm bummed to have lost the yearly rain data accuracy. Makes me paranoid regarding other data as well.

On a positive note, my WeatherLink is running again thanks to Davis user support. No data lost, phew!
