Now that I am happy with my 2902 and its interface via WU to my website running Meteotemplate, I am looking to go the next level. I am looking at using an ObserverIP to link the 2902 to Meteobridge which I will flash onto an MR3020 pocket router, allowing me to still do WU/AW, push my data straight to a MySQL database I control, and look into CWOP and/or the other systems it will interface with. Has anyone done all of this?

Not with a WS-2902, but with a WS-1400-IP, which also uses an ObserverIP. So commonality with what you are asking is OIP -> MeteoBridge -> Various services. I have MB handling CWOP, WU, and a host of other services, including uploading templated data to my own hosted servers for using MeteoTemplate and other web site functions. Works great.

Same here with a WS1200, but did not do the MySQL part.
Not thinking, I enabled sending data to WU from both the MB and OIP, but noticed it made for an irregular graph. I turned sending to WU from the MB off.

I'm not using meteobridge, but I did replace my 1400-IP array when it failed several months back with the 2902, and it's working fine with my existing ObserverIP unit. However, according to ed's instructions, I had to flash the latest firmware to the ObserverIP and then select "WS-1600-IP" as the weather station type to make it work correctly. So it would make sense that since the array works fine with ObserverIP, and since ObserverIP works with meteobridge, then you should be good to go ("should" being the operative word here, not "will" or "shall" or "must"). :grin: :grin:

Ok, so my ObserverIP came in today, it is running 2.4.1. I changed the station to WS-1600, and it is reading the 2902 array, except for the pressure. The consoles continue to read it, so something is not quite right with the ObserverIP. I downloaded the IP Tools app, it does not detect the device in order to update the firmware. Anyone have any thoughts or gone through this before?

MikeWest, make sure your computer and OIP is directly connected to the same switch or router. Do not use wireless while updating the OIP firmware. You will brick it.

OK, so far over wireless neither my Win10 laptop nor Win7 Blue Iris control computer see the OIP so no danger of bricking yet. I'll switch to wired this evening and retest. I am concerned with not receiving the pressure reading so far, will that be fixed with the updated firmware, or should I reset the array? Both consoles (I bought a second one for upstairs) correctly read pressure from the array.

The pressure reading comes from the indoor unit and sends it to the OIP and display console. Try moving the indoor unit closer to the OIP.

Just so I am clear, the pressure unit on the 2902 is in the console, not a standalone sensor. I thought it was in the array. I have 2 consoles, 1 is about 4 ft away from the OIP, clear line of sight in the same room. The other is upstairs. The OIP is not reading either, or is reading both and confused so refusing to read either one.
Or - the console does not actually transmit the pressure reading to the OIP, since it was not really intended to do that. Does someone with a 2902 confirm you are receiving pressure readings from the console to the OIP?

Apologies, was thinking of my WS-1200.
The OIP is not reading either, or is reading both and confused so refusing to read either one.
Try switching one console off.

No problem. I think I will just order the indoor sensor that comes with the -1200/1600 series.

Thanks to "dtidmore" I have confirmed that the 2902 console does not broadcast data to the OIP, I need to have the separate indoor humidity/temp/pressure sensor (WS-1000-BTH) to get barometric pressure on the OIP. No problem, it is $16 from AW.

As a followup, my 2902 is talking to the OIP (set weather station type to WS-1600-IP), I added a WS-1000-BTH to add indoor temp & pressure data to the OIP. I next configured a DIY Meteobridge on a TL-MR 3020 to pull the data from the OIP, and Meteobridge is pushing data to all of the supported sites (except AW). I have 2 consoles, they are both reporting to AW, and my OIP is also reporting to AW. With the recent change at AW regarding non-AW hardware requiring a license to push data (the DIY Meteobridge, even though it is using AW data, requires the purchase of an AW license) I am happy with the AW hardware reporting directly on their own.

So does this mean that if you buy a WeatherBridge from Ambient Weather (instead of using a DIY meteobridge) that the WeatherBridge will report to AW?

Yes, you buy a license linked to the MAC address which then allows upload to their server
