Title: Conformal Spray
Post by: VaJim on November 01, 2017, 02:06:15 PM
Where can buy conformal spray?  Looks like most is available online.  Does Home Depot or Lowes carry it?

Thanks

I got mine from Allied Electronics in Houston. They have stores in most major cities.

Thanks...looks like there's one here locally.  I'll give them a call.

Be careful when you go there, it is the big boy electronics parts store if you do any type of electronics. I go there 'JUST' to get this part and come out with a bag full of 'must have this'  :-)

Are they at all connected with the Allied Electronics or whatever from decades ago?  A bunch of parts, but also had some kits and other stuff.  All I remember (vividly) is buying some Fahnestock clips and some other stuff after I got enough pennies together and the enormous rush of 'electronics' smell when I opened the box to look at the wires, low voltage bulbs and other stuff that a kid in the 50s got all worked up about.

There was Lafayette Radio, too.  Can't remember if there were more.

Anyway, I wonder if Allied of Houston is related? I think the Allied I got catalogs from was in Chicago.

Yes, Allied Electric is still 'that' store :-) and they are all related. I remember browsing through that 2"+ thick catalog book with lots of ohh ahhh's. Head office in Fort Worth, TX.

Digi-Key is another place for hard to find parts, but much fewer brick and mortar stores.
