Help! Anyone parting out a WMR968 anemometer?
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:22:56 AM »
greetings,

Having completed our cross-country move, I turned my attention to setting up our weather station. Somehow during the move I dropped the ball and lost the plastic three-cupped attachment to the anemometer.

New anemometers range from $80 to $99 but I just need that little plastic piece. I called Oregon Scientific to see if I could buy just that piece but no go.

Perhaps someone has an old unit? I'm happy to purchase it from you.  Thanks very much.

My old anemometer got a dose of emp from a nearby lightening strike so I had to replace it.

I have a

set of cups - in good shape nothing broken
direction indicator - in good shape nothing broken
anemometer - the board is dead but the speed indicator and direction hardware is good.

I am looking to replace my entire WMR968 anemometer--broke the wind vane and the transmitter during a move.
