Favorite Weather-Related Movie

What is your favorite weather-related movie? I mean a weather movie that centers around weather... Movies like "The Wizard of Oz" do not count.

How can you exclude OZ?  It has a flying cow!

That leaves "Twister" which was a great way to apply formula scriptwriting with awesome fx (and a flying cow!).  As long as we are talking weather-fiction, there is "The Day After Tomorrow" which was an entertaining suspension of disbeleif.  But for true science-fiction, you can hardly beat "An Inconvenient Truth."   It won an Oscar!

If you will allow cartoon episodes, I would nominate "The Simpsons - Mr. Plow"

Was thinking the same thing....
But for true science-fiction.........

Now I am going to be humming his jingle all day.... "Call Mr Plow that's my name, that name again is Mr Plow"
If you will allow cartoon episodes, I would nominate "The Simpsons - Mr. Plow"

Hey mackbig,

If you are a connoisseur of fine music, check out the variations on a theme of "Mr. Plow" by "Moby"

Do documentaries count?  If so mine is "The Plow that Broke the Plains."   I think it doesn't hurt that I'm a farmboy, but it's a great movie.

If you don't do torrents, is NetFilx available in Thailand?

(sorry, not explaining "torrents" to anyone who doesn't know what they are.  Gray area that not all are comfortable with.)

I haven't tried downloading any videos. There are lots of DVD shops around with pretty recent collections but I just haven't seriously gone around to them and searched. I'm interested in seeing the movie but not so much as to make it a "front burner" priority. When I happen to see it, I'll grab it then.  :-)

It's worth seeing.  Basically it's about the dust bowl and the migration west into the plains and modernization.  Lots of great old equipment footage if you like antique tractors, which I do. :)

i'm a tractor person, and I am interested in early to mid 1900s history, so it sounds like a good flick for me. I'm also a black and white movie fan. 8-)

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Perfect Storm" with George Clooney.
