Title: Degree symbol not appearing correctly
Post by: Leo on April 11, 2011, 12:40:20 PM
I have had a few website visitors tell me that the degree symbol on my site appears as a diamond with a question mark in it or a square with the letters FFFD in it. Is there something I can do on my end or does it have something to do with browsers and settings?

I corrected that problem by using charset=iso-8859-1.

Try replacing the degree symbol with "°"  (or °F)

Make sure you upload your page in ASCII format.

I ended up using &#8457 for the degree and F symbol and that did the trick. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
