My tracreport is being used in an iframe on another website, how do I stop this?  They did not ask for permission

I would start by emailing them and asking for a link to your site as they're using your data.
If that fails then ask them to stop using the file as data is your copyright material, maybe threaten an IP ban.
If that doesn't get a response and you know the IP address of their server then you could block it using htaccess (assuming that it's a fixed IP).

For the size of the file it's not going to be using much bandwidth so you could say nothing.

You could change the path also, but that is work for you.  And you might end up getting an email like this.

Change the page they are using to something nasty and offensive like porn ads, or put a big banner on the page that reports that this is data is stolen.  Then take your regular page and rename and recode it's location on your site.  That way they get the embarrassment of your nastiness and your site's viewer's see what they have always seen, a normal page.

Looks like emailing him worked. This is not the first time I have had dealings with this person, he has hotlinked to my lightning images as well over the past couple of years. Every time I ask him to remove the images, he does, but then he puts them back up again, sheesh!

As I said, I've had dealings with him before. I make regular visits back to sites who have used my images before, just to make sure they're not using something else from my site.

That wasnt actually an email to me.  I found it last week on one of those wacky pictures sites.  I assume it was capped by someone working in a corporate/manufacturers complaint department.   It would be like someone who was selling weather stations from their house, and was hotlinking davis pix, sent this to them after they did a site redesign. Thought it was funny so I saved it, kind of relevant to this discussion.

Andrew, is that email for real?  It has the compositional style and grammar of a Nigerian scammer's email.  Are you sure they didn't mention any bank deposits that you can help transfer?

That is absolutely hilarious.  So since that person changed their images on their site, the other individual using them will contact a lawyer.  That's priceless.   =D>

Looks like you may want to set some permissions on your server so that people cannot excute or steal the images.

I absolutely love that email!  =D>

Most hosting companies have a "hotlink protection" script in their CP that is quite easy to use.  (Check with your provider).  You basically allow only certain IPs or domains (including your own, of course) to hotlink your images.  What it does is substitute a "special" image in place of whatever was being hotlinked.  Most people put a simple red-x or "hotlinks prohibited" and I used to have one with a red-circle-slashed hotdog and "hotlinking is bandwidth theft".  You can imagine what other sausage images some people use as a deterrent.

Be sure to allow any forums to which you post signature pics, webcams, etc.

That wouldn't help weathergirl, but it sounds like that has been resolved.
