Pressure issue with MB Pro
« on: November 07, 2017, 04:31:21 AM »
I am tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to fix a pressure issue. This is kind of hard to put into words -
I am having an issue with pressure where MB Pro is sending, what appears to be, the Indoor pressure to both CWOP & WU rather than System #9 (which appears to be Altimeter pressure) to CWOP and Indoor to WU, or something to that affect.

When I was running the regular MB and a console, the numbers fell in line with each other pretty close.
With the MB Pro, no matter which settings I use or combination of them I can't seem to get it closer than about 2 Millibars, and also have it display properly with WU.
It's either-or.

It would be sincerely appreciated if there is some guidance on getting this working properly so Altimeter is reported to CWOP and adjusted sea level to WU..

There's been discussion on this one before, who has it correct CWOP or WU?

Right now the way I have it setup, CWOP. CWOP is more important to me since it's climatological vs. hobby.

thb0 is used for reporting to weather networks (thb9 just steps in on the black cap MB PROs that don't have an RF board). WU is provided with sealevel pressure and CWOP gets altimeter pressure, both computed from thb0 data. Formulas used are close to what the Davis computations deliver but slight differences might be possible.

Are you living in higher altitude? If so, that is where the different computations of WU and CWOP start showing meaningful variance.

Huh. I read that WU is applying it's own "correction" algorithm to pressures which may be the issue. Dunno.
1185 feet, not too far up I suppose.

Thanks
