Lengthening the Extension Cables of the Atlas Accessories
« on: October 30, 2018, 09:05:43 AM »
Is there any reason the cables for the Wind Extension, Battery Pack or AC Adapter cannot be extended to longer than 30 ft?  Would there be voltage drop issues at 60 ft?   I would like to place the anemometer hi up over the roof,  but the Temp and Rain gauge closer to the ground.  This could require about a 100 ft run.

Or if I put the whole array up over the roof I want to run either AC power or Battery power pack down, but it would be about a 60 ft run.

Provided the splices are completely weather and moister protected,  is there a problem with user extended cables (except for warranty of those accessories)?

Did you ever extend the cables and if so what were your results?  I was looking to do the same.  Thanks.
