Except for those around Enid, looks like they're centered around larger population areas.

The reason for the increase in earthquakes is still up for debate. Last year USGS seismologist Bill Leith suggested that the rise in quakes may not entirely be natural.

“We’ve statistically analyzed the recent earthquake rate changes and found that they do not seem to be due to typical, random fluctuations in natural seismicity rates,” he said.

Must be global warming... ;)

Cushing to Seminole - looks like the perfect area to run a few major oil pipelines thru...

Earthquake activity in central Oklahoma has increased significantly for the last week.  Close to 30 of them over 2.0M.  Thankfully, I'm far enough away from them to not feel them.  Perhaps, Oklahoma has more fault lines than other oil states, and oil field operations rouse them.

Mother Jones just came out with an interesting article about the earthquakes.  Oil companies have been reluctant to disclose what they know.  Little wonder, since they could be held responsible for repair expenses, if there is enough evidence their operations are causing the quakes.  Oil company activity has been helping the economies of Stillwater, Enid and smaller towns.

It only shows quakes INSIDE the borders of the state...to have any value it would need to show ALL the quakes in the U.S.!
