Title: Database error when submitting observation this morning

I received the following message when trying to submit my observation on CoCoRaHS this morning.

Errors:

An exception was caught during the execution of an action query: The transaction log for database 'cocorahsdb' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases. Check InnerException, QueryExecuted and Parameters of this exception to examine the cause of this exception.

Failed to save daily precipitation report.

I tried twice with the same result. Anyone else seeing this?

Yep same here.  And when I looked at the reports for today it responded there were none.  So I don't think anyone can submit reports.

I use the iOS app and the error I got said that there was already a report for this date (there isn't).

Yep, something is wrong. It appears no one can submit their CoCo measurements for today, September 2. Can we blame Davis and the poor packaging of SHT31 for this? I would like to but that would be a huge stretch! :lol:

The error message I receive is attached.

Lets hope its just database full. More likely it's hard drive failure. Hope they did daily backups.

Well, the whole Cocorahs site seems to be down now.  I hope they're just working on it.

From the Illinois CoCo coordinator to those of us in Illinois:


As many of you have already discovered, there is a problem with the CoCoRaHS web site this morning (it is actually the database behind the web site). As a result we are unable to enter observations at this time. The CoCoRaHS staff is aware of this and is working to fix this problem as soon as possible. My suggestion is to be sure to WRITE DOWN your observation for this morning, and then enter it on the web site later today.

We apologize for the inconvenience. I will send out a message when the web site is up and running again.

As always, thanks for your participation in CoCoRaHS - every observation is important!

I just submitted my report.

It went in OK and everything looks normal now.
