Title: GRlevel3 Publishing
Post by: lperagallo on February 05, 2017, 06:35:44 PM
I have been using GRlevel3 for at least three years and it has been working fine.  I publish my files using the FTP build into the software.  I've attached a screen shot of the publishing panel.  I use Lonex as my host provider.  This should create 10 jpeg files with a name of KIND01, KIND02, etc.  My website shows the files as a loop.  Does anyone see anything wrong with this.  Is there a way to test this to see what error I may be getting?  This is driving me nuts.  It stopped working about a month ago.
Thanks for the help.  By the way the password is a dummy just to show how the statement is formatted.

Have you changed any settings recently that you are aware of?

What version of GR3 are you currently using?

I haven't changed any settings.  that's what's so frustrating.  I also don't think my ISP changed anything.

I am running version 2.02

What is the actual file name that is created.  Is it KIND01 or is it KIND_BR1_0.jpg?  I am using the site ID and sequencing it.

You need to update to the latest version, which is 2.52. There was a major change in the URL that the radar data comes from, among others.

The username I use for my GoDaddy ftp is NOT the same username I have on GoDaddy!  They assigned me a username which I must use during ftp's.  Check for the correct ftp username.  Guaranteed it isn't 'mkuche'!

I had a problem with GRLevel3 FTP Publishing. I found that the issue was a "special character" in my password. I had to use the "character encoding" in lieu of the special character.

If your password has any of the special characters, you might want to replace the character with the code.

I just rechecked my FTP setting on GRLevel3 and it has one of these. Here is a table (it includes my special character and code).

Go to GoDaddy's 'Hosting Details' and check what your primary FTP User is.

They are characters like % $ # etc. If you don't have any, then this won't be your problem. I just thought that I would mention it because I ran into this.
