Is there a way to cancel a database rebuild without corrupting?

If I am understanding correctly it does db rebuilds one sensor at a time. Its barely on the first weather sensor (all internal data sensor completed in less than 1 sec) and it has been one day and is not complete.

I have four years worth of data. does this mean that for 35 Sensors is going to finish rebuilding in a few months?
