Something new this morning when I checked my weather station -- I did nothing - does anyone know if NOAA changed anything? or is it -me some how some way?


"Top Warning Information Unavailable, error fetching or reading data from the NOAA advisories server.

There has recently been a change from http to https, maybe your server is unable to get the data using the new protocol, but then it probably wouldnt work even before. Im sure Ken will be able to help you with this. Is the command used using the file_get_contents or is it a CURL function?

Have you recently updated that script? There was a change and Ken released an update as far as I know.

Version 3.209 - 14-Jun-2016 - (Base-USA) updated atom-advisory.php V2.11, atom-top-warning.php V2.09 and nws-alerts.php V2.16 to use HTTPS access to alerts.weather.gov website

Go to http://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplates/updates.php and download the latest version if you havent done so yet

It could be your script is still using http, but it is being redirected to https which it doesnt know how to use until you apply the update

So Far thanks for all the input. -- So -- But -- Ok --?? Before I destroy everything.

I downloaded the new Base Template and found 4 Folders and four Files different from what I already have.

Four Folders
  1 ajax-images
  2 alert-images
  3 cache
  4 forecast

Then  4 Files
  1 atom-advisory
  2 atom-top-warning
  3 get-metar-conditions-inc
  4 nws-alerts

So can I just replace those Folders and Files and then reconfigure for my Zone and I should be alright - or is there more to it???

Well - I thought I had it maybe not?

At the moment -the top box has not active watches or warning but right below that is a Tornado warning in effect box???
