WMR800 trouble
« on: March 02, 2013, 09:23:28 AM »
Good day to all. I have a WMR800 that no longer sends out wind speed I took it apart and found that there is a glass (resister, potentiometer, accelerometer) that is cracked and falling apart. I have tried to get a schematic from Oregon S. but to no avail. Looked on line and still unable to find the schematic or what the part actually is. Any suggestions, folks?

If that is (was) a reed switch you could get a replacement from a window alarm switch set or one of those refrigerator/cabinet door alarm sets.

edit: welcome to the forum too!

Dear sir I have replaced the reed switch I purchased from Sparkfun Electronics and all is up and working. I really appreciate the help. Now if possible, can you tell me how to clear the data from the base WMR200? Do I need to do surgery on that also to discharge the capacitor? Thanks again you have been a big help.
