Title: Michigan Shelf Clouds
Post by: Farmtalk on August 03, 2015, 05:00:31 PM
These are not mine, but I feel they are worth sharing. About 250 storm reports occurred as a result of a line of storms that swept through Michigan!

AWESOME! I like #3 the best, with the Tornado Green sky! (I grew up in the midwest, and my grandma used to always say that!) I also liked the funnel cloud trying to form but being sucked up into the main updraft. Great examples.

The northern part of the state had a lot of damage, still a lot of power outages.  Measured 1.57 in of rain over the course of the storm - several hours.  There wee a series of "fronts" that rolled through.  From a weather perspective - really cool!  From a living perspective - pretty scary.
