Not really an opinion but.....

Even before GW was a "cool" cause...   I recall everytime it was -20 people would jokingly say "so much for global warming" or when its 15C on a summer day, same thing.

Its interesting how both sides of the debate use odd events to "prove" their side.

Coldest summer in X years in Toronto this past summer.  Global warming is not happening.

No snow in November in Toronto for first time since 193?  Cause global warming...

Massive mid atlantic snow storm. "climate change actually causes more precip due to release of moisture, hence more snow"

Well which one is correct? They all seem counterintuitive ......  No sides chosen here, just interesting.   :-k

The GeeDubs just can't accept that their plan for World Domination ain't working out like they'd hoped.

=D> Well "summer"ized.

What I find so interesting is the interchangability b/w climate change and gw. Yes, the climate is changing. Not because of gw. GW is a theory; not well supported by accurate data. It isn't even scientific data because of the non-biasness. Cimate change is naturally ocurring; data supports it. Oh, you want the cake and to eat it too.

Arctic cap might be receeding, but the Antarctic cap is growing (they never talk about that). Polar bear population isn't in danger. That was concocted to prohibit drilling in AK. If the Antarctic is in danger, why aren't there adds of penguins falling from the sky too? That's right, they have wings; they're just psychologically challenged.

The 03 isn't disappearing at the poles due to us; it's the Sun. Why don't we here about the O3 anymore? I'd actually be more concerned about the South Atlantic Anomoly Zone and Pole Reversal (not a dance move at Jimmy's Lounge) than an unsubstantiated theory like gw.

I bet AL GORE is writing up excuses as we speak..I believe global warming is just not good science. If 09 was the warmest year since 1888 then what pollution was going on back then ? The earth is in a constant state of change . cant do anything about that period.

I always keep one thought in mind. I live right near Lake Erie and if it wasn't for a period of GW, I would not be able to live here.  It would still be covered by a glacier.  ;) ;)

Coldest US Winter in 20 yrs.

La nina. This is bad for us living in tornado prone areas because it equates to more severe outbreaks.

normally el nino's reign supreme (i.e last longer)
and we are a bit overdue for a longer lasting el nino

but is the latest long term climate forecasts for la nina to come back this year at some stage?

I read somewhere the possibility exists for a '87, '98 turn-over.
