Title: UK Met Office WOW / WOW-NL error 403. **solved**

Hi,

My login is correct as I get green ticks but the Live data tab gives me the flooding error;

UK Met Office WOW / WOW-NL:   2019-01-30 23:16:53 ERROR 403: Forbidden. (unlimited more tries, netx in 150 secs)

Any ideas how to fix this?

how many retries do you have set?

What time period is set to upload with?

On the WOW info page (https://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/support/dataformats) the following is suggested:

It is recommended that the interval between automatic observations from your AWS is at least 5 minutes.

Right now this but still get that error.

Retry forever???? I'm guessing wow is blocking you from constant retries.

Retry Forever, is not a good option.

For now since there is an apparent issues with retries I would be setting it to None.

I found this post useful as I was having a similar error on the website (error 400).

I set the retries to zero, but noted that only 10mins upload interval would work. Could not do 5mins.

Hope someone else finds this helpful.

Have been using both 10 and 5 minute upload intervals without any issues for quite some time now

I just started doing Met Office and I'm getting the 403 too...I am set at 10 minutes/5 retries.

had the same issue,
the ID you have to put in is your station ID and not your user ID.
on the WOW site go to your dashboard and select your station. the id is shown just below the little map with your location.
the pin is the one you have created when you created your site
