Thanks. I'm puzzled on why it takes 20 seconds to load I've tried everything.. don't think its my host cuz my dad's website loads fast. hmm

Do you have scripts that searches outside your website...likec ounter...live counter ect?

If you do...you can try removing. Them one at a time and re test our webpage after clearing the chache or historic

no counters on website except for that globe but i removed it and it was still slow. but it seems to run fine on my end bout 3-4 seconds odd others have a hard time with it idk.

But the main page needs between 14 and 20 seconds to open. Quite unusual !

I confirm that and that was why we even gave up with installing my template on this server, something really odd is happening, it is extremely slow and even his normal page, I often get the timed out message after it does not load for 30s.

If you remove Carterlake and..only try meteotemplate...is it still as slow as carterlake  ???

But the problem is that there is something more serious, the page itself is not big.

When I was trying to upload the template files to his FTP directory, it only succeeded about 30% of the time, rest was just server timeout, even uploading 10kb text files. And he had problems himself doing it afterwards too. So there is really something wrong in some server settings.

I also remember that for example I uploaded some image files and I saw them on the server in Filezilla, I checked permisssions and they were still not displaying on the page. Something really odd is going on on that server.

I speed tested all my other pages and they load fast.. So something is wrong with my index.php and wxindex.php .. Server is fine as I can upload files fine with no problem. I ran a check fetch times and it loads fast there.. Maybe Ken can weigh in..
