Weather Condition Icons Not Working - Solved
« on: June 18, 2019, 02:17:26 PM »
My site (www.moodyweather.ca) seems to have developed an issue that I'm not sure how to fix.

The current condition icon (main page) is not changing and has the error "unable to load CYVR data RC=302 Object Moved".

Also, on the Nearby METAR Reports page, all the locations are experiencing the same issue, showing the error "Notice: Undefined index: RAW-METAR in /home/d6bsim7o954q/public_html/include-metar-display.php on line 243" along with the Object Moved error.

I know that the CYVR is the station location that the site is pulling it's information from, and the other sites on the METAR page are different sites around my area, but I'm stumped on the 'Object Moved' comment.  I haven't changed anything on my host.

Looking at the error log file, it looks like this error started around Feb 4/2019.  Everything else seems to be working fine.  It's just the icons that are broken.  I thought it might clear itself up as I sometimes get errors because of communication problems, but this doesn't look like it's going to go away.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Ray

get-metar-conditions-inc.php - Version 1.17 - 11-Aug-2018
The link changed from http to https
Message in the html: "mtr_conditions returns RC='302 Object Moved' for ICAO/METAR='CYVR'"
From:  http://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/observations/metar/stations/CYVR.TXT'
To: https://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/observations/metar/stations/CYVR.TXT

Install the latest version of the script and all should be well.

Excellent!  I replaced about 12 files (after making sure I duplicated any alterations) and it looks like it's running properly now.

Thanks a lot!
