WS-2080 Standard Shield
« on: October 01, 2012, 09:28:16 AM »
my frient got ws-2080 with the standard shield and he made a stevenson box with standard dimenssions and he put the sensor with the standard shield inside the box as he told me the daytime temperature are reasonable but in the night he get warm readings except if he remove the standard shield and keep sensor without shielding inside the box i told him about the idea of weather1967 but he prefered to use factory standard  inside stevenson box , could be this a standard shield problem or something else

The "standard" supplied shield is not needed if the sensor is already in an enclosure (Stevenson screen). It's like wearing a rain coat over another rain coat. You need as much air flow/ventilation as you can get and the extra shield is just another obstacle.
