    That is very neat!   The severe drop in the dewpoint makes the rise look even more significant.  I cannot recall that ever happening here.  Thanks for posting Chief!!!

Usually as the story states, it happens when a large thunderstorm collapses.  First I've ever seen where there was no report of a storm.  Interesting indeed.

A good book that I enjoy has a nice section on temperature bursts...
It's called "Extreme Weather" by Christopher Burt. There is one account from someone (I think from South Dakota) where the temperature jumped some 50 degrees in 15 mins!  :shock:
