Wunderground Mobile App
« on: July 15, 2020, 08:14:19 AM »
Good Morning all.

I am totally new to the PWS world.  I bought the AcuRite 5-1 and have 30 days to return it to amazon.  I actually made a mistake ordering it as what I really wanted was the Ambient 2902 or 2000.  I thought I would give this AcuRite a try since I have it and see if all the crap they get on reviews is true or not.  I do like the display on this unit.

But to my actual question,  How do I view my PWS on the iPhone WU App?  I can't find it anywhere.  I can view my PWS on the PC WU website.

Also, anyone interested in finding my PWS to help ensure I am fully up and posting data?  My station is 199Santo-TL.  Is that all you need to find me?

Thanks for your help.

to recap...2 questions:

How to display my PWS in the iPhone App?
Can you connect to my PWS?

If you can, return the AcuRite and get the Ambient.  AcuRite will only work with WU and WU is going down the drain like a slow train wreck.

Edit - You can use an AcuRite with other weather apps IF you're willing to buy additional equipment.

If it's not a Boerboel it's just a dog.

is the Ambient 2902 good or would you spend up for the 2000?   There is almost a $100 difference in price.

I have an AcuRite, which I refer to as an AcuWrong, so I really can't comment on the Ambient.  I've been looking at the Ekowit because it allows separate mounting of the anemometer and temperature units.  I will say you get what you pay for.  The AcuWrong has had three replacements of the aspirator fan unit, which includes the anemometer cups and solar panels, in three years and that's added up to about $100 to put things into perspective.
If it's not a Boerboel it's just a dog.

The WU mobile app is not that well liked. I and many others prefer to just use the mobile browser and then go to your WU dashboard page. I bookmark it and it feels just like an app with a shortcut on my Android home screen.

No, that doesn't follow WU Station ID naming convention. A WU ID starts with K if you are in the US, then followed by state two letter code and then first five of city followed by a number. If you are outside of the use it is almost the same except it starts with I and then they city name followed by a number.
Mine is KFLWINTE111 as you can see from my signature.

For you it would likely be KPADUBOIxxx where xxx is a number or something similar.

Go to this address and login to see your station.

No, you made a typo. Your WU ID is KPADUBOI25

Looks good. You are actively uploading weather data to WU.

Did you ever get an answer or find a way to access your PWS through Android wunderground app rather than browser shortcut?
