Happy New Year 2017
« on: December 31, 2016, 09:05:28 AM »
Hi guys,
just want to wish all the best to all of you and your families. Those of you living in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and places Eastwards of me, you guys are always that one step ahead of us :D Here in Europe we still have 9 hours to go.

I hope next year (this year for some :D) will be at least as good as this one, which means that at least in case of this forum, it will be another great year. Over the last 366 days, I have met a lot of very nice people, many of which actively participate on this forum and it is great to see such community of people with similar hobby and willingness to help each other. And I must also say that it is quite unusual how little spam, trolling and insulting you see here compared to some other forums.

Big thanks also goes to Ken, but also all the other admins which make sure it all works!

As we would say in Czech:

"Všem Vám přeju krásný a šťastný nový rok!"

Also enjoy that extra second we will have today/tomorrow (depending on your timezone).

Due to Earth rotation speed changes, there will again be an extra second added today, if you happen to live in the UTC timezone you will see today:

23:59:60

If you live in a different timezone it will be either before or after midnight for you. For my (CET) it will be 00:59:60 :)

Hi Everyone,

Just joining the conversation by wishing everyone here all the very best for the upcoming new year.  Thank you to those who have offered help and advice during the past twelve months, not just to me, but also to everybody who has ask.  This forum is all weather, we're just like a big family, most of us have never met each other, but hey.....that's not what this is about, it's about helping out.

The last twelve months has bought us a new template setup - Meteotemplate - Thanks Jachym for that, also Bryan for a fabulous template he offers in the modern style - idesign34.  A special thanks to Ken from Saratoga, who for obvious reasons got most of us started in this hobby.  I had my first weather station long before I had a website, I studied the scripts for ages thinking I can't work them out - PhP - what is that - some kind of new fashion wear, I had no clue, but myself badgering, and the fact of not wanting to be beaten by a piece of software, I took the plunge and downloaded the scripts from Kens site, after many questions and concerns etc, I was up and running, that was over three years ago.  I'm still here, a little older and much more wiser thanks to you folks here.

Happy New Year !!! 2017.

Happy new year to each fellow weather enthusiast! Maybe 2017 will bring us a Davis Vantage Pro 3, and WU will be stable throughout the year!
