APOD, shopped?

Can't say I've ever seen clouds quite like this in all my years.

To my untrained eye I would say this is a long exposure making the clouds look as they do.
But, on the other hand it could be shopped.
I would hope not. APOD has always been a place where you get the real thing.
Looking at the photographers web site he definitely takes advantage of the HD options that are available.

Whew ! Glad I read the posts before I looked at the picture. Either I would have been by my can goods with my .45 to ward off the starving hordes after the apocalypse or waiting for the trumpets to signal the second coming.....

Nice pic though.....
