Wish List - Wind speed graph scaling
« on: June 23, 2019, 02:23:08 AM »
The new system implentation of wind speed graphing dynamically scales the wind speed between only the range of wind speeds encountered for that day so far.   The old system dynamically scaled, but between zero and the maximum wins speed for the day so far.   If your day started up windy and the windspeed has never been zero so far, the graph looks odd. This won't be so obvious here in summer when we get overnight calms, but it blows all night a lot in winter.

I'm not sure whether this affects anyone else, but I much prefer the old scaling, as it gave you a visually intuitive idea of the relative magnitude of the wind over the day and also of the ratio of gust speeds to the average windspeed.

Yes, scaling the top end but always starting at 0 on the bottom of the graph makes sense to me, for both wind speed and wind gust.
