Local DTV Weather SubChannels
« on: July 18, 2010, 01:26:20 PM »
OK, so your local TV station is taking advantage of DTV and providing one or more subchannels, one of which is a 24 hour weather channel of sorts.  But is it ALL weather?  Or do they mix other stuff in also?

At first it varied some but now they are sticking to weather.  It's mostly Accuweather video though.    I would rather they spend more time with the local people and radar.  (Ours is WBNS ch. 10-2, Columbus, Ohio CBS affiliate)  Its still not available on local cable, only off air antenna.  All the other local affiliates sub channels are on cable.  I suppose maybe since Time Warner already has a 24 hour local weather channel with NOAA radio and radar feed and they will not add it.
