best anemometer type

This has been a debate. Some people say cups (including me) because they have a 360 range of wind and arn't influenced by changes in wind. Others say propellers or aerovanes are for better aerodynamics, some say ultrasonic because they measure wind in a 3D perspective. Whats your opinion?

Now aerovanes, one problem with them is they only focus on the wind ahead of them. If a stray gust comes behind they stop. I have seen this happen many times. Ultrasonic anemometers are affected by temperature and humidity. This alters the medium the ultrasound travels through. The other 2 are options.

Well some types are. I got those facts from a test done by the University of Colorado. I can't remember the link, but they did a number of tests of several different types of anemometers, and they prove that ultrasonic anemometers are affected by not only temperature and humidity, but what ever else is floating around in the air. However, no instrument is perfect.
