Does anyone have any experience with the accuracy of the stand alone rain gauge? I'm considering giving this as a gift and was interested in the accuracy and reception. Thanks.

I've never used that particular model, but be aware that it has a very short range.  Only 100 feet.

Thanks. Actually when I saw the 100 figure for some reason I was thinking meters. In any case, that should still work.
