Title: Strikestar US Gone?
Post by: Skywatch on January 20, 2018, 08:44:15 PM
With my Boltek LD-250 expected to be delivered Monday tonight I decided to visit the Strikestar US website and noticed it is completely gone! No sign of it on Google. When I went into my browser history and went to the site there it just gave me the domain available.

Seems odd because I've been speaking with Relko of Astrogenic about the Strikestar setup for a week leading up to the actual purchase of the LD-250 and there was never any indication or mention of any issues or upcoming discontinuation of Strikestar US. I'm baffled.

So are they pretty much history? I was hoping to get Nexstorm setup with Strikestar. Now I don't know. :(

I got an email from Relko,

"Hello Matt,

Don't worry, it is not gone. Last week our US admin changed web host and
in the process also changed domain registrar. Your PC is likely holding
the old host DNS which makes the web browser go to the wrong server.

To fix you just have to clear browser cache and most importantly, flush
Windows DNS cache. Here is a page that describes the latter procedure:

http://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/how-do-i-flush-my-windows-dns-cache/

Before doing this close the browser. Once done re-open the browser and
try again: http://www.strikestarus.com

Best regards,
Relko

Sure enough it came up. Don't know why the search engine didn't work but I'm glad everything is up and running.
