Anemometer Transmitter kit
« on: April 06, 2008, 11:26:31 AM »
Hi

Can I connect a Solar/UV sensor to the Transmitter Kit. Currently the Anemometer is separated from the ISS.

Thanks

If you are talking about the anemometer transmitter kit, I do not think that will work. They seem to use the same connector board in many housings, but the firmware does not exist to do anything but what it was designed to do as far as I know.

I tried once to attach the anemometer to a temp station (the jack was there), did not work... just as Davis told me it wouldn't. But, you know I just had to try!  ;)

Try calling Davis. Not sure. I have mine plugged into the ISS. Since a special bracket was designed for the ISS to have the UV sensor mounted upon I doubt it would work but you never know. Let us know what you find out.

The Anemometer wireless transmitter kit can only do the Anemometer.

It has a stock connection block, but internally only has support for the Anemometer.
All you need is Time, Aptitude and Desire ... and you can build just about anything...

Hi

Thanks for the answers.

So I need to move my ISS to a place, where the sun is the whole day and then install the Solar Sensor on the ISS with the special mounting kit. Curretly the ISS has the sun ½ the day.

Thanks
