I'm still new at GR3 and all of the sites you guys listed don't exist from what I've seen.. I'm looking for DBZ color tables for both rain/snow .. and how do you change backgrounds in GR3?

Hi Mike,
Attached are the color tables I use with GR3 ver. 2. The background within ver. 2 cannot be changed. You have to use either the NAIP maps or use a solid color background, unless someone has figured a way around this.

Hello guys, i would like to chime in here. First of there is no snow DBZ or not that im aware of as Grlevelx does not support winter weather radar. But if you go into HCA and look on the left hand side you will see WS or IC thas for Wet snow and ICE, As for putting a new back round in Grlevelx that is not possable in the new version 2.17 as in the old version you could. And if im correct you are talking about The display and how it looks. I also know that you can not change the color tables or everything as in Base Rell and storm rell and so on wich u used to. Now i could be wrong on this as i do have color tables that i used to use wich i wana use again but i havent found a way to put them in so. Hope this helpes,Also if some one knows a way to put color tables in please help me. Good god

my bad wow, i just figued this out. go into Veiw and then goto color tables settings and then choose or click the table you wana change and then to the right place the updaed color table in there. But i would love to see more Color tables as i miss them and ever since Grlevelxstuff went ofline i cant find any no more. So please share. Thanks

Here are the ones I'm using, some copied, some created. The one for base reflectivity does a good job showing none precipitation (outflow boundaries, etc.) in shades of grey and slate, and the other colors seem to do a better job indicating the actual intensity.
Base Reflectivity: fade_reflectivity(2).pal
Base Velocity: Pueblo_BV.pal
Storm Relative Velocity: Pueblo_SRV.pal
Echo Tops: new_echotops.pal
Duh, ".pal" files are not permitted...the ".txt" equivalent is attached. ](*,)
My main radar page: http://www.lfweathercenter.com/fullradar.php

...and since we have a 4 attachment limit...here are VIL, One Hour Precip & Storm Total Precip.

Does any one Have any Storm Relictivity velocity color tables along with BV and BR color tables ? would love to see some. Thanks :)
-
Maybe we could change the title of this thread to just 'Color Tables' (?) I have a bunch of GR2, GR3, and GREarth color tables, I'd be happy to add on here. :-)
-
Please Post those color tables for Grlevelx 2.0 as im looking for some for Storm Relectivity Bace Rel and so on- Post them up gang. Im dying for some Thanks
-
I'll have some up for you by tonight! 8-)

Here is a slightly different variant of the reflectivity I posted earlier. I'll begin posting velocity pictures tomorrow (Gotta order some velocity data from the NCDC to show it in action). I don't use this one quite as much as the other one but still enjoy it.

Just ran across two examples of the BR & BV color tables I shared above.
-
Hola everyone 8-) Been a little silent over here, as I've been working on my dissertation for school, but I have recently created a couple of color tables that I figured I could share. These are all for GREarth, but eventually I will create some for GR3 :-) Enjoy!

Hello Gang I have had my grlevelx for a very long time now and love it and the community is great as well those who make color tables. I have Another Request. I cant seem to find a BR Color Table that will pick up the rain good at all. Meaning it will show rain in other parts of the state and when I look out side its Raining. So im gunna need to delete some of these color tables and add new ones. What im asking is can any one make a HD Smooth and shows every were where its Raining as this is important to me as what good is the color table if it dosent depict all the rain. again I need a BR HD smooth Quality . Any one
